This was a suggestion (or at least a partial one) in a comment in one of the news posts and I thought I'd bring it up here so that it can hopefully be put into play before the tickets are no longer sold for the event.

Please have these tickets for sale at set times!

When you're buying a ticket for a special event, there are always lead-up announcements saying, "These VIP tickets will be going on sale on (date) at (time)!"

That way you can call, click and catch the ticket when they go on sale (or at least try to if you can get through).

Why not make these tickets the same way? Have a list of times where each block of tickets are put up in the CS and post it in the news. It could be something as simple as "Tickets will be on sale on (date) sometime during each of the following hours:

2am 10am 6pm 2am"

The times could change, too, each day, but as long as the list is shown in advance, people know they at least have a chance to try for the tickets instead of being disappointed when they're not online for a random restock.

I can understand random restocks in the TS as it's not dealing with real money (buying tokens with CSC cards don't count here lol). However, set times for each day would be much better received for actual cash purchases due to the nature of the currency. That way people can go about their lives doing whatever needs doing and then try their best to be online for the times that the tickets enter the CS.

I'm all for this! I keep missing the sales by minutes after lurking for hours... orz Even if it's not set times, it'd be nice to have some warning.

I don't think this suggestion would help much. The tickets are selling out in 2 minutes or less. Giving people the time in advance w o Ulf probably be worse since there would be 5000 people sitting with an autorefresher on. Instead of completing with who is online you'd be competing with everyone who decides to wait.

Yeah, I don't want to deal with massive lag as well, tyvm.

I think the old system is more than just fine. There's no need to 'spoon-feed' users and hand them the chance to buy one on a silver platter. It's supposed to be based on luck whether you're online when they restock and have the money needed for it.

Aside from the items they yield, is there anything more special about them over the TS one?

You can't buy with an autorefresher so there's not really much validity to that...even if they did use an auto refresher you still have to have time in between refreshes so they would have even worse time trying to get a ticket.

I've been wondering about this too. Personally holding back before buying one since I don't really like the items anyway. :p

But yeah, set times sound nice in theory, but have you ever even tried to buy a concert ticket for a really popular artist? The lag is hell. I mean the site has lagged even for a CW set release, let alone this.

I rather it rses unannounced and multiple times a day , completely indifferent to the no of users online . No matter if you have 700 or 1500 users online , a mere 25-50 tickets are gonna sell out FAST!!!

I was half asleep lol, so I left out a few things.nnThe Autorefreshing isn't much of a big deal like you said, but making set times would guarantee tons of lag with a couple thousands of people refreshing the PekaBoo CS Page.nnWith the way it works now, if you're online you have a chance. Add set times and people will suddenly log on knowing the chance is near.nnThere is over 10 days left to get a VIP Pass. That is probably more than enough time, especially since staff can adjust the restocking rate if not enough are being released. n@Wolf_Spirit nnThe whole VIP idea just seems ridiculous.

I don't have a clue, either. Maybe you can get a few exclusive events or something, I don't know.

A lot of tickets a number of times a day would also work well, . I just don't understand why they're limiting it so badly.

I don't have the time (nor the want) to go and sit here for hours for the VIP tickets to turn up magically then be sold out in the blink of massive lag.

Set times would be exceptional.

They are VIP tickets for a reason,They aren't meant for everyone to have. I get so sick of people wanting things right away without having to earn them...Boohoo so you might not get one. People need to just get over it,Every time something is limited people complain...I want one effing thing that I managed to get to actually obtain it's value for once...Everything else gets deflated because people whine all day.

Doesn't it not start until like the 16th or 18th or something? That's more than a week away, with at least one restock every day. Releasing them at a set time would guarantee that they would sell out INSTANTLY to only those with the fastest connections and would also probably break the site for a couple of minutes. Just wait and be patient and hopefully you'll get lucky and be online at the right time like everyone else.

Believe me, people, I feel you. I'm doing my best to get the release times out, but I'm kinda worried they're gonna change the schedule on me if we don't keep this whole thing on the down-low.

I'm just going by memory, here, but I know that each restock of the VIP Passes was supposed to be between 50 and 150. I'm working on getting information about the next release right now, so remember to throw a little kickback to your best friend Elwood when you're rolling on a bed made of limited edition tickets.

as and others have said, they're VIP tickets, for VIP people. they're supposed to be Hard To Get. if everyone got them, they wouldn't be rare and speshul.

I don't think they should be constantly in the CS, and I missed the Elwood-announced restock last night, but from what I gather, the site went down for a ton of people when they came out and they still sold out in less than a minute.

What I wouldn't mind (for the next event of this type) would be for them to be in the CS for a set amount of time once a day (like a certain hour, or whatever), unlimited, with a one-per-person limit. You'd still have to be online during the right time at least once during the event (as obviously the time should change daily), but there should still be enough to go around and it's a lot less stressful than rushing to open the CS everytime there's a new news banner and hoping that a) it's actually a VIP ticket restock, and b) you get there in time. But I don't know if that would let too many of them get out, since I heard that they're already releasing more VIP tickets than originally planned :/

Not sure about set times for the same reasons as others have mentioned (namely, lag). However, I personally wouldn't mind being told if they'll be released in the morning/afternoon/nighttime.

Honest answer? I'm pretty sure we get nothing more than the "exclusive" items we get with the ticket.
